Leyton Media Oscars 2013

On Monday 10th June 2013 Leyton Expressive Arts held its second Media Oscars event at local cinema Stratford Picturehouse. This red carpet event, which is now a firm favourite in the Leyton Season, is a celebration of the achievements of A2 and BTEC Extended Diploma Media leavers. Students and their guests dressed to impress for the evening, making their grand entrance on the red carpet whilst getting snapped by our resident photographer, Scott Goldsmith. They were then treated to a showreel with the very best of 2012/13 media work, and students were nominated in a wide range of categories from best director to best music video, best marketing campaign, best animated shorts and many more. Winners in each category won a coveted Leyton Oscar. The students were also treated to a reception with delicious Hollywood-themed nibbles and drinks. We are very proud of our Media leavers and it has been a bumper year for talent, with some excellent films, music videos, blogs and print products produced.
