****A2 Media students- coursework deadline extension***

Dear all
A number of you have been to see us requesting an extension to the deadline. We are aware that a large number of you have been very busy preparing for university interviews, portfolios etc.  We do have a little leeway and can delay the assessment of your coursework until immediately after half term. So if you need it, you can use half term to complete the coursework.  WE WILL ASSESS on Monday 23rd February- so your deadline is 9am on this day. So DO NOT CHANGE YOUR BLOG after this date.
We hope this helps reduce the pressure and enables you to produce the very best work you are able.

***AS Foundation Portfolio coursework deadline*** Wednesday 21st January 2015

This is a reminder that the deadline for the coursework is this Wednesday 21st January at 4.30.  All of the tasks 1-12 should be on your blog, along with work in progress and reflections on your progress throughout the project.  All tasks should be very clearly labelled. Use the assignment brief on moodle (AS Media>Assignments and Assessments>Foundation Portfolio assignment 201415) to check that you have all tasks on the blog, and they are of a quality you are happy with.

If you feel there is a strong and valid reason why you cannot meet Wednesday's deadline, you MUST speak to your class teacher BEFORE Wednesday's deadline to discuss the possibility of an extension. DO NOT make any edits to your blog after this time or date as we will start to assess, and this could invalidate marks not just for you, but for all students.

A2 Coursework Screening This Wednesday 14th January at 3pm!

Just a reminder that this Wednesday 14th January at 3pm we will be screening all of the completed A2 short films and music videos. This is a chance to see your work on the big screen and to gain useful audience feedback for your evaluation.


Please come along and invite friends, family and actors/actresses to see your finished product on the big screen!

A2 Media: Cancelled lessons Wednesday 3rd December

A2 students your lessons on Wednesday 3rd December will not be held (7A3 9:00am and 7A2 1:20pm).


Please use this time to work on your case studies (deadline for uploading: Monday 8th December), mock ups and pitch (deadline: Thursday 11th December)

"Leave to Remain" screening and workshop- part of the "Into Film" Festival

This trip is taking place on Wednesday 12th November, and is for AS Media students. The film is about a young asylum seeker and his experiences of arriving in the UK, and it will be followed by a panel discussion with the director Bruce Goodison, and representatives from the Refugee Council and Refugee Action.
